Funds raised for GV Health’s childrens ward

Aiming to give back to the community and make a difference to the lives of children, Shepparton Marketplace created a big change for small change on Saturday.
After the success of last year’s event, Shepparton Marketplace was one of 10 Dexus managed shopping centres nationally that charged a gold coin donation upon entry to the centre, where funds raised go directly to the Children’s Ward at Goulburn Valley Health.
Shepparton Marketplace centre manager Theresa Lowe said raising money for hospitals to support families was as important to our local communities as ever.
‘‘Supporting local families with young children is central to Shepparton Marketplace,’’ Ms Lowe said.
‘‘We see this as an important way to continue our effort in giving back and making a difference’’.
The centre was transformed with Big Change for Small Change theming, special offers from retailers and a program of free entertainment and events including, face Painting and a visit from PAW Patrol characters.
‘‘The response we’ve had from our retailers, local community organisations and media partners once again this year has been overwhelming,’’ Ms Lowe said.
"Everyone has come together to create a full program of entertainment, offers and fun for the community to enjoy.’’
