AGM highlights hospital's key achievements
Published at: 23 Nov 2018
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is always an important day on Goulburn Valley Health’s calendar and this year is no exception.
The AGM, held in November each year, gives the community, staff and all of the health service’s stakeholders the chance to hear about the hospital’s achievements, financial performance and future vision and strategies, while allowing those who attend a chance to ask questions.
This year, GV Health’s Board of Directors is inviting the community to attend the event, with Board Chair, Rebecca Woolstencroft sharing a number of highlights for the past 12 months.
Ms Woolstencroft, together with newly appointed Chief Executive, Matt Sharp, will touch on a number of key milestones throughout the year including the current redevelopment of both the Shepparton site at Graham Street and the Waranga Campus at Rushworth, the expansion of the Wanyarra Acute Inpatient Unit, the ongoing work on the Strategic Plan 2019-2023 and Community Engagement Plan and the positive partnerships with a number of organisations, enhancing GV Health’s health services within the Goulburn Valley.
There have been a number of improvements across all areas of GV Health with achievements in accreditation, quality of services and number of services the hospital is now able to offer the community.
The AGM is also a special time to acknowledge staff, volunteers and those who have financially contributed to GV Health over the past 12 months. Staff who have demonstrated the key values of the health service - Compassion, Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Teamwork and Ethical Behaviour – are also recognised at this event.
The GV Health Board of Directors is also inviting the community to attend the Open Access Board Meeting, which is held prior to the AGM on the same day. At this meeting Matt Sharp will be presenting the hospital’s Strategic Plan for the next five years and Executive Director Infrastructure & Business & Chief Procurement Officer, Sandy Chamberlin will be giving an update on the existing redevelopments at Shepparton and Rushworth. This meeting will be held in the GV Health Boardroom at 1pm. For those attending please RSVP to Kate Osmond on Ph: (03) 5831 0155 or via email to Kate.Osmond@gvhealth.org.au.
